VIDEO: PHOENIX, AZ – INTL. CONTEST SERIES

Check out the video from The first contest in the Make it Count International series, which took place in Phoenix, AZ. Skaters competed for a trip to the finals at Element YMCA Skate Camp where they’ll have a shot at Element sponsorship. Element Team riders Levi Brown, Chad Tim Tim, Darrell Stanton, Nick Garcia and Ben Fisher were on hand to judge the event. Winners inlcuded Dashawn Jordan, Adam Arunski, Joey Downton,  James Schwartz and Gregory Dwyer.

TUBA CITY, AZ –FINAL STOP OF THE ELEMENTAL AWARENESS SOUTHWEST TOUR

The third stop on the EA Southwest tour was held at Louise Yellowman skate park in Tuba City, AZ. Both street and tranny rippers showed up to skate in the contest. EA family member, Cody Hager tore up the course with his wild animal style. Everyone was stoked on the day as tons of prizes were given out. WINDOW ROCK, AZ – SECOND STOP OF THE ELEMENTAL AWARENESS SOUTHWEST TOUR

.The second stop of the Southwest Tour was in Window Rock, AZ. The event was held at the Raymond Nakai Hall where skaters showed up hours before the event to practice. Within a few hours the EA team and local skaters transformed the hall into a full blown skate plaza decorated with boxes, ramps, and rails. While the contest progressed Element Advocate Mike Kershnar worked with Window Rock locals to create graffiti art. Following the awards ceremony, there was a “worst board contest”,  giving skaters a chance to replace their old board with a new one. Overall the contest was a hit for the town and EA. The first stop of the Elemental Awareness Southwest Tour was in San Carlos on Apache Land. The event was cohosted by local sons Doug Miles and the Apache Skateboards team. It was an awesome afternoon with all levels of skaters ripping up the unique park. In addition to the skating, Element Advocate Mike Kershnar and Doug Miles collaborated on a 20 foot graffiti wall featuring a red fox. Prizes were awarded all day to best trick winners as well as the classic “worst board contest”. 2010 INTERNATIONAL SKATE CONTEST SERIES – PEORIA, AZ

The first contest in the Make it Count International series went down in Peoria, AZ sat. January 9th . Kids came from all over the Phoenix area to compete for a trip to Element YMCA Skate Camp on Sequoia Lake and compete in the Make it Count Finals. The contest was a best trick jam format and the kids were throwing down hammers all day long. Element Team riders Levi Brown, Chad Tim Tim, Darrell Stanton, Nick Garcia and Ben Fisher were on hand to judge the event.The next contest in the series is in Detroit, MI.
