SKATE AND GROW COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT

Wednesday, 16. June 2010

Elemental Awareness has teamed up with Skate and Grow to give kids an opportunity to help their community. Skate and Grow was designed to give inner city kids a chance to have an important element in their lives and keep them out of gangs. This important element is skateboarding. The project focuses on kids that can’t afford what it takes to skateboard and/or are being pulled into trouble and giving them a chance to earn what it takes to be able to skate. Skate and grow has kids volunteering within the community in exchange for skateboard related product. The kids also receive structure and guidance being that most often they come from broken homes. The project has started in Highland Park, CA but is soon to expand.
